About Us
The Chamber's Purpose
The purpose of the Clio Area Chamber of Commerce is
to advance the commercial welfare of our members. To
accomplish that important purpose, we actively represent
businesses across northern Genesee County. Through our
efforts we try our best to stimulate business growth
and to actively promote area businesses and our community
in general.
Website Purpose
This website is designed to provide you with an overview
of our fine community. Our goal is for you to come to
the Clio area and have fun! If that happens, we know
you will be coming back again and nothing could please
us more! We look forward to seeing you again.
Many Opportunities
The Clio Chamber of Commerce provides members with many
unique networking scenarios. The 2006 Chamber calendar
is loaded with opportunities to meet with fellow Chamber
members, see old friends and make new friends in the
process. There will also be opportunities throughout
the year to gain business insights and to learn from
other business people how to be as successful as possible.
Many Chamber members actually meet new clients at Chamber
meetings, which helps them to experience growth and
to continue to expand their impact in the community.
Advocating Members
The Clio Area Chamber of Commerce is constantly working
on the local level as an advocate for its members. Members
of our Board of Directors regularly attend Clio City
Council meetings as well as Thetford and Vienna Township
Commission meetings to ensure that the business community
has a voice.
The Clio Area
The Clio area is alive with activity! The Chamber has
made the commitment to have the Clio area become a Walkable
Community. The community enjoys a beautiful park with
a recreational pathway that runs alongside a peaceful
creek that is shaded by wonderful old trees--each with
a story to tell.
The Clio area includes many other recreational opportunities
designed to address a broad variety of interests. People
from around the area come to the Clio area to bowl,
play tennis, bicycle, jog and just plain enjoy fresh
air and warm hospitality.
Education
The Clio area provides our youth with a world class
educational system. The Clio Area School District is
one of the few districts in the area with North Central
Accreditation at all grade levels and in all schools.
Clio graduates are currently attending major universities
across the United States and are highly regarded for
their work ethic and contribution in the world of industry
and commerce. Graduates are encouraged to further their
education by a supportive community, which provides
an array of scholarships and other incentives for young
people to strive to achieve their individual potential.
The Clio area believes in the values of a solid comprehensive
education!
